Where Software Engineering is Just Another Job.
Software Engineer in Chicago:
Pros: Working in Chicago is treated purely as work and not a passion project. This means that I am not being paid purely for a shoutout or that I have to hang out with my coworkers outside of work. It is stress free but still have all the amenities of any other major city.
Cons: The weather is not great.
