Software Developer Reviews
What is it like working as a Software Developer?
November 2019
Good conditions. Low pay.
Software Developer in Longueuil:
Pros: The work environment is fun and since recent changes in management, the company is putting more effort in accomodating employees.
Cons: Low pay
November 2019
State Farm nice.
Software Developer in Bloomington:
Pros: Business partners generally give good developers the benefit of the doubt. Atmosphere is relaxed. There's fairly little drama. It's a great environment for really talented, hard-working developers to stand out.
Cons: It's tough to balance the super cheap rent in Bloomington with what a dump the town is. State Farm is THE major employer here, too, so if they ever leave then the real estate values will plummet, so it's too risky to buy a house here. Code quality is often not great, but I don't know how it compares to other places.
October 2019
Figuring out what job I want.
Software Developer in Ann Arbor:
Pros: The software development industry's presence
Cons: The uptight people
October 2019
Growing tech scene.
Software Developer in Birmingham:
Pros: Lower stress, cost of living
Cons: not top notch computer science university scene, not top notch talent
October 2019
Work from home.
Software Developer in Edmond:
Pros: Proximity to UCO campus (I'm about to be a student)
Cons: nothing to do at night. Ghost town at night. I don't drink, either.
October 2019
Software Developer in Sheboygan:
Pros: The Culture
Cons: The technology choices
October 2019
Flexible working times.
Software Developer in Cape Town:
Pros: There are multiple projects I work on.
Cons: You can not really go to the other team and be part of the project they are doing. Always Capacity issues
