Pros: Medium sized college town, easy access to outdoor recreation, almost no commute, rents are still fairly reasonable.
Cons: Compensation dramatically lower than in Seattle, WA, which is an hour's drive away. Opportunity for advancement, and to work on interesting problems, also seems lower than in a "tech hub"

Software Engineer in Pittsburgh:
Pros: Pittsburgh’s technology gains thanks to CMU and PITT have a good culture and focus on software and computer sciences that is often overlooked. The amount of tech in this city is a big highlight.
Cons: Pay isn’t as high as it is in other cities which is unfortunate, however cost of living among other things is way better than it other cities as well.
