What is it like working as an Administrative Assistant?

Not Enough Pay Nor Staff.
Administrative Assistant in Tyler:
Pros: I enjoy my co-workers. They are flexible and do provide decent vacation. The work itself is not bad once you get the hang of it.
Cons: They don't compensate for all the work that is put on your shoulder. They want you to do the job of 5 people. Its a stressful environment when you get behind on work. Very divided between upper management and lower. Don't feel appreciated.

Good people make a better workplace.
Administrative Assistant in Woodway:
Pros: I like to challenge myself by learning new skills, and I work for supportive and understanding people.
Cons: Doing exceptional work or doing more than expected has increased my employer's expectations of me without increasing my position or payscale above an underachieving coworker in the same position. I am often picking up the slack, but she receives the same pay and benefits.

Administrative Assistant in Columbia:
I enjoy providing excellent customer service to the parents and be a team player with my fellow administrative team. I have been in the District for six years. I just love what I do. I just need more money doing it, because we are the front line and the first voice that parents talk too.
