Pros: To freely work without someone directly over you.
Cons: The way the PTO is accumulated, no opportunity for advancement, no paid holidays when the place your assigned too is closed, insurance is high and it sucks, and the last and final thing no raises. During the pandemic no extra pay or recognition. Never told anything positive when things are going well but when you mess up you here about it.
