0/10 Would not recommend working in software development here.
Software Engineer in Minneapolis:
Pros: All but one of my non-management co-workers are great, intelligent and thoughtful; and the exception is at least intelligent and good at his job, despite having no soft skills.
Cons: Software Development management staff completely lacks vision and there is public infighting between the managers in meetings and chat forums. Employees are unable to be candid with them and as a result, it often feels like the team is successful in spite of management, and not as a result of their encouragement and/or guidance. Worst of all, weekly happiness surveys have been getting worse month after month but no change has been made by management to improve it, and it often feels like they blame the employees for being unhappy.
