Software Engineer in Cardiff:
It was okay to start off with. Large, bulky company with the usual arrogant mid-management. But the developers here are incredibly lovely and helpful (well, the non-contractors anyway) and supremely talented. But then the Siris takeover started. Now, upper-management is all about "money money money money money". They fired a load of employees, discarded entire departments, sold bleeding edge products & services (that were made by some genius developers in this company) because they couldn't be bothered to branch out to different industries. And now, they've started a consolidation effort to merge the CRMs & platforms of all the companies they've bought over the years. Which is fine if we had a 3 year deadline with a concise plan... But nope! A consultant told them to consolidate everything, and so they've started the project already and literally just making stuff up as they go along, with no clear plan in advance and a ridiculous 18 month deadline! This new capital investment firm will destroy the company until it's reduced to ashes. My salary is below-average for where I live. I get the standard holiday hours, a low pension contribution, and low-mid tier medical insurance. We get flexible hours and the opportunity for remote working when needed, so that was nice. Nonetheless, I will be looking to leave titanic.com pretty soon. Would not suggest you go anywhere near it.
