Bad conditions.

Run for the hills. Promise the world you never do the job hired for.

Hard work/Little reward.
Operations Manager:
Pros: I enjoy the people I work with and the laid back environment of this particular company. I also enjoy the knowledge I have gained in my current position. I feel that my contractors know that I have their best interest at heart and that I will go above and beyond for each one of them and that gives a feeling of satisfaction. I also enjoy being a leader and managing people.
Cons: I do not believe tat I get paid enough for the work I do. I feel as though I am underappreciated and overworked. I am also in a position where I can affect either negatively or positively someone's livelihood and that becomes very stressful.

The Hands of Ops Mgmt.
Operations Manager:
Pros: Its like working in a warehouse. I make sure we are ready to ship out to our subscribers at the beginning/end of every month. Sure my hands have taken a beating with cardboard folding, but I like to be the overseer of production.
Cons: Poor dry hands.
November 2015
The hours.
Operations Manager:
Be prepared to spend a lot of time at work and don't count on spending family time or having holidays off. No company seems to understand you can telecommute an ops position, so be prepared to also not get overtime or holiday pay because they'll stick you on salary.
November 2015
It's all about the Financial's.
Operations Manager:
As a new Operations Manager, you will need to understand the financials for your profit center; specifically the Profit and Loss Statement, or P&L. Knowing which lines of business are succeeding and which require further evaluation, will help you manage costs and place you on the path to success.
