Working here is wonderful if you love fashion.
Sales Associate in Troy:
Pros: I love being able to be at the forefront of fashion especially with a strong focus in men’s fashion. I always feel like we’re the most fashionable house in the world for specialized curated pieces.
Cons: I have been a top salesman for every year I’ve worked for the company. I’ve missed birthdays, family events, spousal obligations to work. I schedule my whole life around dedicating myself to the company to show that I can achieve. In turn I have never been offered a raise, I’ve not been offered a promotion. When sales are down and I offer a solution to boost sales. I’m told “I don’t think that will work, we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done” and sales suffer. When there is an opportunity to bring in special pieces for customers who are asking for special pieces. I’m told to “sell what we have” which results in a lackluster collection for our customers which prevents them from coming back. My suggestions are overlooked Consistently even after years of selling at the highest level and within the top level of the entire company. My compensation is average for the company. However, I’ve consistently gone above and beyond for my manager, my store and my company. One shouldn’t have to skip meals because their pay doesn’t match the cost of living. Especially working for a company that makes as much money as this company does. I take on tasks many who have higher positions do not how to do. I give expertise to others in my workplace and instead of learning from me they use my knowledge to boost their own sales. There is absolute lack of respect for me as a employee and the contributions I have made to my individual store. As well as the company.
